Fort 48

Narrows 19

4:50 4th

Credit to FC, but even as a Giles fan, FC on most nights isn't 29 pts better than Narrows. I know there's the argument that the Pioneer is weak....and it is, but it goes back to what some including myself have said for years on this board.....Fort Chiswell is one weird and fickle MoFo and you try to gauge them, assess them, predict them, and they will shit all over you!

Phoebus 104, Jamestown 0. Final.

These games need to be called at half it’s just ridiculous to finish a game once it’s a 50 point lead.  The winning team just gonna get someone injured in a meaningless second half

Gretna wins in OT  going for two for the win

Gretna is a little like Grayson. Seems like they have pumped the breaks or peaked out or something. Gretna needing OT to beat a down Floyd County team and Glenvar who was suppose to be not as good this year ripping Patrick County 56-0 is a bad sign for Gretna next week. Glenvar was supposed to win by about 24 to 28 pts, not 56 pts.

Region C next week in Class 2

Appo travels to Radford

Glenvar travels to Gretna.

Glenvar is going to beat Gretna like a drum. Radford beats Appo by 14+

Yeah, didn't Floyd lose to Blacksburg?

Phoebus 104, Jamestown 0 already posted, but here's what happened.

56-0 Phoebus at end of 1st qtr and Phoebus had JV team in with 2 minutes left in the 1st quarter up 49-0 and the JV team ran basic plays from that point on. Jamestown was down 84 to nothing at halftime and offered to have it called at the half. The Jamestown coach refused and they played the 2nd half.

Credit to BOTH the Jamestown Head Coach for not quiting. I like his decision. Credit to Phoebus for doing everything they could to keep the score down. Had starters out with 2 minutes left in first qtr and the JV team was put in and they ran basic plays, runs off tackle, simple dives. Sometimes, these things happen.

Here's the Argument. Are the kids hurt more by the 104 pt loss in 20 years with damage to their self esteem, or.....are they better off in 20 years by raising there self esteem and resillence by not quiting? I argue...better off in the long run for not quiting.
