Gotta love “grown ups” hiding behind a keyboard calling kids out by name for as a “joke”being recognized for a good season. If there are kids from “your” team that you have a problem with take it up with your HC. I strongly doubt any kid on this list was missing practice every week.

Is it homecoming again?

This is my feeling as well. I would not call it a participation trophy for everyone cause there are 7 teams in the district. Each coach is trying to get some attention for their players.

All district teams may be a joke to armchair qb’s but to the kids on this list it means something I promise. Sure there are always a few political picks and there definitely are on this list but it’s always been that way and always will.

They were focused Saturday. Made some mistakes, but were still on a mission. I think they'll be fine against Richlands. May not be 45-0 again, but they have too many playmakers to lay an egg.

LOL I see a few Head Scratchers myself from Ridgeview and some that got F'd. A few Headscratchers on the Central side as well. Honestly thought I would see more 1st team OL from Ridgeview. I guess they wanted to even it out. I thought Mullins did a good job for us at QB when McAmis when downI thought honestly we wouldn't have anyone so I guess it all worked out.

The Bears are one tough bunch and a solid program, but I think Graham next year at the beginning of the season will be more of favorite to win Region D than what they were this year. Even with the loss of Cam, Graham is going to be fantastic and I think they will be at least as good as they are this year.

Not taking nothing away from any kid, but how do you select 20+ kids for all district honors? That is absurd.......pick 13-15 and be done.......seems like if you started this year and played any you made 1st or 2nd team all district. Definitely not what it used to be.

Even if that was true. Rat and Brent would not hire any of them.

All District teams have become a joke, a participation trophy for everyone. I'd much rather see a state champion, or even a regional champion.

Union received 22 awards? Holy cow, they finished third.

Friday evening maybe? Or later than 2:00pm Saturday evening. I think VHSL's deadline is Saturday. Not 100% sure on that deadline date.

I don’t wanna name any kids, but for Ridgeview there are a couple undeserving and one in particular that got hosed. Just my opinion. I don’t know all these kids by name, but I for sure see a few head scratchers. Congrats to all though. Hope the kids are proud of the accomplishment. It was a good competitive year in the district.

Any chance this gets moved to Sunday afternoon? Supposed to be nasty on Saturday.

If Grapeape or Larry gets left out then I will be "legit pissed".

OL returns LT and C. Polier is back. Andy Jones will be QB. Bryce Guerrant will be one of the RBs, and watch out for Lomax and Malachi Jenkins. Rasnick is a very good WR, and there's talent coming. On defense, CJ Jones, Bryce Guerrant, Wagner may play DE, Polier at LB, Jervis at DT, there's talent there

If that’s the Lee transfer he will be a monster. I think they will be back in the mix next year. Who is coming back for them?
