The team we played today will be a state champion with two more performances like that. Give Appomattox Hell, Union, 1865-style.

WTF, Graham is not or ever was overrated this season. That's disrespectful to Union & Graham to say that. Union beat the speediest offensive team in SWVA today, and impressively too. Yes, Union flat-out outplayed Graham on both sides of the ball, but that's just a testament to how skilled the players are & how well coached they are to shut down a fast Graham team. If Union plays the same way next week against Appomattox, they'll win the same way they did against Graham. No team that makes it this far is overrated.

I had this feeling last night and this morning that if Union got up, that D would shut everything down and Graham would panic. Sounds like that’s what’s happened. Union has the best D on this end of the state, maybe the entire state. I’ll be in attendance next week at Bullitt. Please, Union, beat the unholy hell out of Appo.

It’s not an extremely likely scenario, but I hope Union absolutely runs Appo out of the stadium. Many of there fans are arrogant and didn’t give a flip about football three years ago. It’s time to knock em off the bandwagon. Show them what true southwest va football fans are and give em hell bears.

Appomattox hates noise makers, Union is proving their home of the 12th man and they play to defend the park, it's a different outcome this year I believe folks, they said Richlands could knock us off, they didn't, they then said Marion, and then Graham could. They didn't. All you local community people come out next weekend and pull for the Bears. I seen ALOT various school colors today. Proud to see you guys out supporting a local team, hope to see you all back next weekend.

Unfortunately I’m afraid that the bears have ran out of no competition. The G-men were badly over rated. I’ve said all along the bears are one dimensional. I don’t think we can make enough noise to distract the raiders!

Union by 4 if they play the same game as today. Appo is really good on offense, but as shown last night, they don't play as well on the road against a good defense. Defensively Appo has a good secondary but they don't like for a team to ground and pound on them. Should be a great game. I'm curious to see the crowd that they bring.

Glenvar cuts into the lead 20-14 Appo., late 4th

Their line is not blowing Glenvar off of the ball on either side of the ball. Theirbqb is quick. They have a couple of fast and aggressive playmakers, but they aren't dominating the line of scrimmage. Defensively they have a few kids that fly to the ball, but don't seem as aggressive defensively either. I'm no expert, they just don't seem as dominant. Very good, but I think beatable.

I saw one claiming Glenvar’s Band was too loud. Appomattox didn’t even bring their Band. If Union wins tomorrow then they will really hear it from the fans and the band.

It's hard to pull clout over a region that has (arguably) the two best teams in 1A, and I still think Riverheads is two scores better than William Campbell.

One of those teams is Riverheads, which would beat any team in 1C or 1D not named Galax by 5 scores...

I think McClung is best player since Nuckles in 2002..... He's a special talent for sure, athleticism and upside are hard factors to measure at the next level, because Division 1 is just insanely athletic and I don't think any AAU circuit, or any high school team in America can replicate that look.... I watched McClung put on a display last year in Regional Semi Finals.... He put on a show.... I think at the next level, he could become a prolific passer with other D1 Talent Around him..... I think Nuckles is Top 3 ever out of SWVA.... State Runner up, State Champion, and State Semi Finalist 2 Time State Player of the Year. Top 5 Single Season Points Scored behind oh I don't know, Moses Malone, and Allen Iverson floating around 900 and some change his senior year .... 150-180ish enrollment Nuckles dropped 57 on Powell Valley to break the school record (he sat the entire third quarter so in 24 minutes, he had 57), and had Vikings players cheering for him like Hawks Players on the Bench when Bird went off vs Atlanta.... His performance that night in Council, may ,or may not have been a decision that prompted Wise County to make Union High School and Consolidate Powell Valley, and Appalachia.... 1,000 Point Scorer and 2 NCAA Tournament Appearances at ETSU.....
