So you admit that Richlands was physically inferior in 3/4 games, but you still think they should be 4-0? Richlands had less than 100 total yards on offense but you still think should be 4-0? The talent level isn't no where near as high this year as what It was last year and the 3 teams they've lost to would've beat every team on Richlands regular season schedule last year. It's really as simple as that. Less talent playing better teams.. no you shouldn't be 4-0

I have a question or two...Considering those links are 3 years old, if there is any merit to those lawsuits, shouldn't those have played out by now? And, if so, wouldn't the AD already be gone if there were anything to any of that? Seems to me, the answer to both of those questions would be "yes" if there were any substance to any of that. I think those are 2 legit questions, though.

Richlands in all fairness had an unreal schedule.. and they're record is exactly what it should be. 1-3... but they're better than a 1-3 football team. I know that those kids pound the weight room hard and that it's not a lack of coaching, preparation, etc. They'll be just fine, they'll get back on track and finish out the rest of the season with anywhere from 0 to 2 losses imo. I will ask this question though... how hard do you think it is for a high school O-Line to go from passing the ball 30+ times a game and not really having a running attack to becoming a balanced or run dominate team? It's a different mind set and different approach. Your first step run blocking is forwards.. and for the Tornadoes I think that this better balanced approach has some adjusting to. They'll be fine and wouldn't surprise me if they even won out.. but thoughts on that?

Their opponents combined record (who have beaten Richlands) is 14-1. And Bluefield is 5-0...

2A Region D, I have EXACTLY what you posted BigWinners. 2A Region C, I have a few minor differences with 3 teams: I have Giles at 18.4 instead of 18.2, Martinsville at 15 instead of 14.5, and Radford at 12 instead of 11.6. Places for Giles, Martinsville and Radford are the same though.

I know at least some of those are wrong... Tunstall and Alleghany have .66667 on the end of theirs... to get that kind of average you'd have to have played 3 or 6 games, and Tunstall and Alleghany have both played 4 games. Lol

I honestly believe all hope of that is gone. I think the whole program has given up at this point. It's more than just X's and O's for GC at the moment. Another scoreless week this week, people may riot.

Maybe some GC fans could gauge Mr. Colley's interest in being a HC again... ?

This is a toss up game for sure. Tazewell beats Montcalm in a scrimmage Hurley beats Montcalm Tazewell beats Riverview Hurley beats Riverview Who knows. Tazewell has some play makers and they really don't quit playing. I've been impressed with the way they keep going for 4 quarters. If it is a close game in the 4th, Tazewell could pull it out. Covering Mullins is a tough task and if Blevins gets a little time to get him the ball......... I hope the young Tazewell team can get some great fan support, it's the first home game for them after a tough 5 road game schedule.

The collapse of Rome isn't too fun to watch. My heart breaks a little more each Friday night. When fans are leaving at halftime of a GC game, you know something is wrong. Hats off to Union though, they have a solid team with some serious speed.

If Bluefield "ran up the score" then they would have had 90-100 points.

I read all threads as well. If I see a player is hurt from another school, I'll wish them well. I would hope the same if it was one of ours. I'm not sure what "stutter" GC fans did to the LPD board. I was a LONG time member there and made a lot of friends from other schools. Me and Old Dawg (RIP) used to have knockdown dragouts there...but we still respected each other and our teams. We'd tell each other where to go Monday-Thursday, but we'd buy each other a hot dog on Friday. Sadly those days are gone. There are knuckleheads for every school. There's not one school in the country that doesn't have them. As for our current situation, I ran into a guy at work this morning that I've known for 40 years and his son is currently playing. I've never heard him, in 40 years, make a negative comment about anyone...until this morning. Regardless what the fans think or want, or opposing fans think or want, one thing keeps popping into my head....the kids deserve better.
