I agree with you, but I don't see Mance changing the whole offense for one game. I think that would be a big mistake. One play here and there would be okay and could happen, but don't go to practice and get on this thread and tell everything that you have seen, although it doesn't matter, you probably don't know a wing tee set from a power I or pro set anyway.

If he's back already then my god he must be an absolute freak of nature. From what I know about Achilles injuries is that it usually takes around 6 weeks before you can even START physical therapy. I hope for his case he is ready to go, but I hope he's not put into a situation to where he takes one shot to the Achilles and has to have another surgery.

Marion scored 18 points against Grayson, but only 5 of those points were based on the merits of the offense. Marion got two touchdowns, both in the fourth quarter, off a kickoff return for a TD and a pick-6. They are the least flashy team in SWVA. What they lack in skill, they make up for in discipline, and boy, is that an understatement. They are far and away the most disciplined and aware defense I've seen this year. They have big talented receivers, but barring a busted coverage or a lucky play, the passing game likely won't be a factor because they QB doesn't deliver well to them. They do run a veer, but it's nothing fancy. Five plays and ball control. Their passing game is almost exclusively fades and slants, but they lure you in because you have to account for their power running game. They are the perfect example of how to do more with less. DO. NOT. TURN. THE BALL. OVER. It's been Grayson's calling card all season. They forced seven turnovers against Glenvar and four or five against Marion. My recommendation to the folks in Dickenson is to have no expectations for this game except for a dogfight. I think most Grayson fans would tell you that even at this point in the season, they don't have a great feel for the team because they've been swinging above their weight class all season.

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. You show up for an entire season and have the best record you have earned an "easy" game in the first round. Look at the NCAAM basketball tourney. A 16 seed has NEVER beaten a 1 seed but there have been some nail biters. It is part of the fun of a tournament.

I think the point is that both Richlands and Mo West were competitive teams that had bad seasons and a win over either, while not a victory of epic proportion, was a solid win nonetheless. There is a difference in losing a game 40-20 in the 4th versus it being 40-0 at halftime. Had a bounce here or there gone Richlands way, they could very easily have a winning record right now.

That's why you go with 4 teams in the Region playoffs

I'm not saying there not the best defense but the teams they've played are 40-60. Two are 0-10 and a 1-9 and 2-8. They do have 2 good wins though vs. Clarke Co. and riverheads.

Atleast we don't have to worry about a monsoon starting at anytime during the game. I remember in the first matchup everyone was on edge just waiting on it. ?

Richlands defense is going to have to play a game of a lifetime to handle Union. I would rather have Mitchell at WR than to be in the backfield with having many more opportunities to touch the ball. Richlands offense needs to pick it up too. I know these boys will be ready to play. I also know Mance and company will have the best possible game plan in place to try to succeed. I am looking forward to the game this Friday. From the forecast, looks like kickoff temperature will be around 31 and feel like 24. Brrrrrrrrr!!!!!!! I am going to throw out a prediction and say 20-14 Richlands Is this a 7:00 kickoff just like the regular season??

Graham returned a fumbled for a touchdown & Bluefield returned an interception for a touchdown so that part is a wash. Both teams really only sustained one "good" drive each all game. The other time each was in scoring position Bluefied kicked a field goal and Graham fumbled on the 1 yard line with less than a minute to go. Graham "could've" won that game but I won't say "should've" because that was one of the most evenly matched games I've ever seen. Neither team showed an edge. Both teams have improved since that game. I thought Bluefield might struggle against A couple teams early but there's no way I would want to play them now. I can't believe how much better they look now & I think it is all but a lock they play for the state championship. Graham with the QB play of Allen is a different team now and even with the loss of Reed I think they're a better team now than they were 11 weeks ago. But to @UVAObserver's point, the Region D perception would be a lot different had Graham not handed the ball off to win the game to a player that hadn't touched the ball all game lol I'm not saying that Graham is better than Union but even with the 1 loss by Graham it came down to the last week of the season to determine the 1 seed. If graham beats Bluefield they're the #1 seed comfortably and would most likely be the favorites to win the region to the casual fan.

I haven't been buried in it as much as I had anticipated. It's amazing, but it's also so functional that it was a breeze to learn and I just picked up where I left off with my 6S+. My head is buried in 9 separate projects, and none of them are my senior year of classes.

I like that first Benefit game. Wish GC could have scheduled Science Hill and Dobyns Bennett for regular season matchups.
