VHSL just called, tomorrow's games at Wheeling to be moved to Northwood.

I know! And very big game for those young G-Men to be participating in. Hey man .... Graham is in the State Championship game!

Every blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes. 😆 Region C had several good, but not great, teams. They were very down. Radford’s probably a 7-3 team in Region D.

New Day, New Topic! It game day fans. What an exciting day this is going to be. For the 1:30pm kickoff, the forecast will cloudy with a temperature of 53º and a 30% chance of showers. Kudos to Northwood for you hosting this event, shout out to Galax for producing this game for the NFHS Network, that is a huge deal for many who can't be there and they do an awesome job calling and filming a game. Message board peeps, I've enjoyed posting with all of you this season and myself, like most from Chilhowie we will be pulling for whoever wins this game and represents the West next week in Salem. Galax, have a safe trip down I-81. Welcome to Smy"t"h County!

I hate it for those boys; I would love to see them (CHS) achieve something that most of us dreamed about as players but the adults have made this such a mess for them. Hopefully both teams come out without injuries and may the best team win.

I wish that was true here...however I think it most from around the county will support the Warriors. I for one would pull anyone in the area to do good and to pull out a win. But you have some that can't put away childish rivalries away for the better of sportmanship and surrounding communities.

That's what most are overlooking. The players themselves could care less where they play at. The kids aren't the ones that made the calls or whined about going to Emory. So of course they may have some concerns or a bit of nerves but what young player wouldn't. But they aren't afraid or worried, they are confident in their skills and they know they can play great ball. It's people that don't play making a big deal out of the move.

Never seen uniforms get muddy on a turf field until tonight...Wheeling Island Stadium should be condemned!

This is a bigger margin of victory than the 2001 team’s D3 semifinal over Liberty-Bedford.

Bottom line is had Narrows pulled off the upset last week Chilhowie would not have complained a bit about the game being moved to E&H. For the 1st time this year I think the Warriors are somewhat worried about an opponent. IMO

WV fans not familiar with Saltville should avoid any business that claims to be a casino or a strip club.

The story coming out of the roanoke press rumor mill is the reason that the vhsl changed their minds, the first people that was sent first was from local schools. I don't know which. After a couple of PH fans contacted them about the game the next day they decided to send someone from Charlottesville to look at it and they decided that it was unfit. If they moved it like the others because of safety and game sconditions they should have left at Emory and not cave because a politician through his weight around.

It was a joke...VHSL has moved Chilhowie/Galax game to two different sites in two days...

So what makes this Mudpit better than Chilhowie field? What a mess this week has been. Heck at this point We are gonna have 1qt in Saltville. 2nd in Chilhowie. 3rd at PH, and end it in Emory.

I will admit that I didn't watch Pollier enough to compare them and I don't think you watched either of them enough to compare them. I also don't like comparing high school kids. I did however watch Sproles a lot, and even with his awards he is undervalued. He is really really good.

This decision may not bode well for Heritage on Saturday. You know the coaches and kids from Botetourt are gonna be a little pissed when they take the field and it’s not at their house. And we’ve all seen what this Botetourt team can do with a bit of a chip on their shoulder. They shut down an outstanding bluefield team on the road when most people, myself included expected bluefield to win that game. They may be even more eager now to prove that they are not only the better team, but also deserved to play in front of their home crowd.

Didn't think about that. Good dad though! Maybe he can find a way to juggle both.

VHSL has decided to give Chilhowie another shot at playing the game on their own field Saturday. The rain in supposed to stop tonight and several prominent citizens have persuaded the Trump administration to deploy a couple of Blackhawk Helicopters to dry off the field before kickoff.
