@  Beamerball : (31 August 2016 - 08:35 PM) Just a note for the scoreboard and pick 'em, although I guess it doesn't matter again, but Thomas Walker is playing Harlan (Independent), the "city" school, not Harlan County
@  Ryan4VT : (31 August 2016 - 06:18 PM) Do it
@  GMan : (31 August 2016 - 05:30 PM) Yep, ate a lot of burgers there. Told my wife that we should try to save it...buy it and keep it open...
@  sixcat : (31 August 2016 - 02:12 PM) Mike's Grill is closing in Blacksburg. My wife and I started dating her senior year at VT. I would drive to Blacksburg at least a day a week to see her and we would inevitably end up at Mike's.
@  Ryan4VT : (29 August 2016 - 06:47 PM) Bunch of people got a gun threat email at VT today. VT Police are investigating. Im in the building beside Norris. Just an odd feeling.
@  trumpet1988 : (29 August 2016 - 05:34 PM) @GMan, I want to pick Union. I really do think they can make a bid to win the game as they have the past 3 years but I think with the game being at Richlands, Richlands' experience, Union's youth (very talented youth), and the fact that Richlands seems to want it more, the game will go to Richlands. The game will be a barn burner but I think Richlands will likely win. I hope I'm wrong.
@  GMan : (29 August 2016 - 04:43 PM) VT has only 8 seniors on their two-deep roster...
@  GMan : (29 August 2016 - 04:38 PM) @Ryan You haven't tried the right stuff yet...
@  Ryan4VT : (29 August 2016 - 04:37 PM) @GMan I don't like the taste of alcohol lol. Sipping is not any better.
@  GMan : (29 August 2016 - 04:36 PM) Dang! I'm the only one to pick Union so far in the Pick'Em...
@  GMan : (29 August 2016 - 04:26 PM) @ havok_fan IPA, my beer of choice...
@  GMan : (29 August 2016 - 04:25 PM) @Ryan Having a drink doesn't mean you get drunk...the good stuff is for sipping and enjoying. Want to get drunk, just turn up a bottle of Jack or Jim and get it over with...
@  swva_havok_fan : (29 August 2016 - 12:25 PM) Yum Craft beer... especially IPA's...
@  sixcat : (29 August 2016 - 11:20 AM) I don't drink often but did attend a wine and craft beer music festival in Independence on Saturday. Creek Bottom Brews in Galax has an excellent in house Lager.
@  BigO : (29 August 2016 - 02:49 AM) Depends on what I'm driving...golf cart..cold beer. Car...crown. I'm kidding, I'm kidding...I drink very little. I'm allergic, stuff makes me stumble around, slur my words, makes me think I can sing. I'm a Crown drinker when I do have a drink.
@  Ryan4VT : (28 August 2016 - 11:57 PM) I've never been drunk lol. So I don't know what any of this stuff tastes like.
@  trumpet1988 : (28 August 2016 - 11:51 PM) Doctor won't actually allow me to drink. Even before then I only had one drink every 3-6 months. When I did, it was usually a bottle or can of Coors Light.
@  Bearcat Bob : (28 August 2016 - 11:12 PM) I don't drink often but when I do: Off the shelf --Crown Royal...Not on the shelf-- mason jar full of a clear liquid from the depths of Bacon Hollow...Beer -- St. Pauli Girl (import) and yes I admit it...Coors Light. But I prefer the mason jar.
@  GMan : (28 August 2016 - 05:20 PM) My wife is a Corona drinker...I cringe every time she opens a bottle...
@  GMan : (28 August 2016 - 05:17 PM) @ Bob Scotch, Irish whiskey, borboun (the good stuff), rye whiskey, and dark rum (especially Zaya and/or Zacapa 23)...all on the rocks unless its been a tough day. Also, I will always drink a good beer, but never the mass produced swill from the MegaBrewers. And, if you offer me wine (like you Hoos sometimes do), it better be a full bodied red.
